MBA Service Club Joins Forces with Alumnus Shep Patterson '10

"One of our younger swimmers, Grace, is flying an MBA banner as she swims the sponsors relay."

Earlier this fall, alumnus Shep Patterson reached out to the MBA Service Club.  While at MBA, Shep, a member of the Service Club and King Society, "began coaching and volunteering for the Nashville Dolphins, a Special Olympics and special needs swim team. The team trains over 150 children and adults, year round, with abilities ranging from those learning to swim to competitive athletes. There is no cost to any athlete at any level to participate."

Shep has continued to coach this group since his Sophomore year at MBA, and he says, "I can truly said that they have given me more than I have given them. All of the athletes are a joy with whom to work (even on their crankiest days)."  He proposed that the Service Club become a sponsor of the Dolphins and that the MBA swim team and Service Club get involved with the organization.

The MBA Service Club became a proud Nashville Dolphins sponsor, and the swim team, with help from Coach Pat Killian, is continuing the school's involvement with this group.  We look forward to growing our relationship in the future.  Roll Dolphins Roll!
