Sugartree Creek Rain Garden, Build 1

On a beautiful Saturday morning, in partnership with Cumberland River Compact and the landowner Mr. Cate, the MBA sustainability club constructed a rain garden. Armed with picks and shovels, we dug it out, made a berm, and planted various native plants in the garden. This will improve stream quality and alleviate flood problems in the area, as well as provide an attractive garden for the neighborhood. Participants, many of whom live in the neighborhood, included seniors Joe Moxley and John Whitaker as well as Fin Houghton, Will Farner, and Kiran Peterson. Faculty were represented by Mr. Killian and Dr. Bailey.

Phase 2 will take place October 22
