A Very Special Tribute to Billy Tate

Earlier today, MBA Volunteers and Staff from Catholic Charities remembered Billy Tate's contributions to Loaves & Fishes. Mr. Tate helped serve meals for 10 years and is most remembered for his generosity and his elaborate desserts, including the famous "Hawaiian Surprise." Mr. Chenery led the planting of 6 blueberry bushes in the garden at Holy Name Church. Wendy Overlock (from Catholic Charities) presented a framed photo of Billy that includes a handwritten copy of the his famous recipe (to be hung in the kitchen), and Chris Mowery and Brandon Carpenter led a moment of silence in Mr. Tate's memory before the blessing.
