Loaves & Fishes Soup Kitchen: An MBA Tradition Continues

This past Saturday Dr. Dickens drove 16 Students downtown to the Holy Name Catholic Church to serve many hungry Nashvillians. Preparing Mr. Gillespie’s taco casserole recipe, the group divided and conquered. Seniors Drew Weikert and Centre King dove into cooking the beef, while freshmen Sam Meacham and Luke Morad operated the deep sink clean up and senior Trace Fontana led a few volunteers to cook a warm bowl of green beans with cheese sauce. Thank you to all who participated, and the Loaves and Fishes Project is looking forward to another successful meal next month.

One of MBA's oldest and most sacred service projects, Soup Kitchen (or what is now Loaves and Fishes) is held on the first Saturday of every month at Catholic Charities, behind the Holy Name Catholic Church.
